To mark the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, we partnered with Lucasfilm to create a limited-edition collection inspired by the film’s most iconic costumes and details. Each piece was packed with world-building cues—from Aurebesh typography to vintage comic artwork on the casebacks—designed to feel authentic to the Star Wars universe.
The Luke Skywalker style draws directly from his all-black finale costume. The dial features a split black-and-white layout, echoing the concealed white lining of his jacket—a detail revealed only in the film’s climactic moment as he embraces the light and rejects the dark side. A green lightsaber second hand adds a precise fan-forward touch, while a hidden layer of transparent UV ink glows to mimic the Emperor’s Force lightning. The result is a quietly dramatic tribute to Luke’s defining transformation.
The Han Solo style draws from his costume worn during the battle for Endor, translating the character’s rugged charm into a watch with grounded, cinematic detail. The bund-style strap references the leather of his blaster holster, while the gunmetal-and-steel two-tone case echoes the look of the DL-44 itself. A yellow racing stripe along the strap nods to the bold detailing on Han’s iconic pants, tying the palette back to his most recognizable silhouette. Like the rest of the collection, it’s layered with subtle world-building cues—from Aurebesh typography to vintage comic artwork on the caseback—and comes packaged in a character-specific box featuring an audio clip from the film. The result is a piece that captures Han’s mix of grit, style, and effortlessly cool rebellion.
The Chewbacca style pays tribute to the galaxy’s most loyal co-pilot with a design grounded in texture, warmth, and character. A brown IP case frames a molded brown dial that echoes Chewie’s unmistakable shaggy pelt, creating a tactile, dimensional surface that feels instantly recognizable. The brown leather strap features sewn-in steel accents inspired by his iconic bandolier—an essential detail carried across every one of his film appearances. Finished with the same world-building cues used throughout the collection, it’s a wearable homage to a legend who’s equal parts strength, heart, and unmistakable style.
The TIE Fighter style translates one of the saga’s most iconic starfighters into a sleek, wearable tribute. A gunmetal case and bracelet echo the ship’s unmistakable finish, giving the watch a crisp, industrial presence. The cage-style bezel references the TIE cockpit’s distinctive window frame, creating a structural layer that instantly signals its inspiration. The dial—rendered entirely in glow-in-the-dark neon lume—nods to the low-fi targeting displays seen during the Death Star trench run, capturing the tension and energy of the classic dogfight in a modern, graphic way. It’s a piece that celebrates the machine itself: precise, striking, and unmistakably Imperial.
To round out the 40th anniversary celebration, we created a five-piece special-edition capsule designed as an accessible entry point for fans. I focused on the saga’s masked characters—icons whose silhouettes and visual identities remain unmistakable even four decades later. Each style features bold, graphic renderings pulled directly from the Lucasfilm comic archives, paired with multicolored lume to amplify the richness of the artwork. The result is a vibrant, collectible set that invites every fan to take part in the anniversary, regardless of price point.
